A fight for America's soul
They brought in the fathers
They brought in the husbands
They brought in the wives
Of all of the friends and families
Of whom illegals had devestated lives
And told them of the patience they needed
And how they shouldn't over react
They should shut down their sorrow and anger
And deal with just the cold dead facts
As told to them by collaborators
As told by Mexican Embassy scum
But there came a hissing from the back
And a whisper of killer thief and bum
And it rose in intensity
And it rose in ferocity's fire
The people had had enough
They now had a common desire
****
****
Build the fence now
We want it double wide
We want it with razor wire
We want more patrols
We want more patriots hired
Make the illegal's employers
Consequences severe
We don't want any more betrayal
We don't want the illegals here
Other voices joined in
We want the political prisoners free
They were talkin about border guards jailed
The ones working to protect you and me
****
****
No more burea-craptic talk
No more stalling and dragging feet
No more politicians
Auctioning off our demise and defeat
****
****
They
They tried to take back the meeting
They tried to take back control
They tried with more lies and false promises
It was a fight for America's soul
And
The den grew louder and louder
Until it turned into a roar
Which way would the illegals run
Into which country would they pour
No more soft talk and conversation
No more slick trick sick business deals
People would hear now and how
A wounded American heart feels
We will stand against this invasion
We will not go to bended knee
We will make it very clear
Some take oh so seriously
That old flag that says....
DON'T TREAD ON ME
